TOMBOLA DI BENEFICENZA
During this school year we have had the chance to take
part in different activities to raise money for charity.
The first one
was a “Tombolata” at Christmas
time.
Tombola is a traditional board game we play with family and friends at Christmas; it’s a sort
of Bingo.
The students of class 1S played this game at school
and they donated their winnings to Caritas where the mother of one of our pupils works as a volunteer.
UN CONCERTO PER TELETHON NELLA SEDE CELESTINO V DI PAGANICA
On the last December 15th, 2016, the Orchestra
and the Choir of the Secondary School “D. Alighieri” in Paganica, had an
important concert at the Auditorium of the Cultural Centre “Tempera ONLUS”.
The concert was planned to collect money for
Telethon. During the concert some stalls with handcrafts made by students were
set up.
The money, which was picked up by selling the
objects or given freely by people who attended the concert, was poured into the
bank (BNL).
In this occasion, Jerry Lewis and his wife were
remembered as the promoters of the first TV Telethon show; regarding that, Mr.
Raffaelle Alloggia, who published a book about Jerry Lewis’s wife, discovered
that Mrs. Patty Palmer originated in Paganica.
He is still keeping in touch with the son of
the famous actor, to let him know about the existence of Telethon project in
our school.
