A fantastic achievement for our students: they qualified to
compete for the provincial meet that will take place on 28th February in
Sulmona.
Special
Olimpic Games
Last
December, before Christmas holiday, 14 talented students from Dante Alighieri
School,
took part in
the special Olimpic Games with their Tutors.
The event
was organized within the Basketball week.
All the
participants received a Certificate of Attendance.
The theme of
the event was “The Solidarity”

On Saturday
30th September seven local schools took part in the Inter School Relay Race
at " Isaia di Cesare" Athletics Track in L' Aquila.
The event was organised by " Athletics Federation" L' Aquila.
Eight students from " G. Carducci" school competed in the 8x400 race showing great determination.
The team consisted of two girls and six boys; It was a huge success: they gained 1st place.

Patini” Secondary School are the winners of football match, played at the Gran Sasso stadium - Italo Acconcia on Friday May
19th 2017.
A
day of sport and solidarity , which came to its XXII edition, in honour and
memory of Pasquale Giancola Superintendent of Studies of L’Aquila.
The event, organized by the "Solidarity City"
committee, is sponsored by: Regione
Abruzzo, Municipality of L'Aquila,
Cassa di Risparmio Foundation
and Uisp "sport for everybody ".
Proceeds of the charity event will be dedicated to the
post-earthquake reconstruction of the schools of L'Aquila.
Ticket cost: 5 euros
Final between Patini and Carducci, the first
one wins the match.
More than two thousand spectators who have crowded the
grandstand: a great result not only in the field but also in the stands.

Last march, 5 boys and 5 girls from " D. Alighieri" School participated in the District Cross Country Race competing with students from other schools.
The initiative was promoted by MIUR ( Ministry of Education, University and Research) to encourage physical activity among young people.
The girls ran 1.5 Km and the boys 2.0 Km around The Spanish Castle.
Our students represented the school really well finishing in 3rd place: they qualified for the regional meet.

Special Olympics;
the aim of this annual initiative is to expand basketball across Europe and, above all, to make
basketball accessible to everybody.
Players, with and without disabilities, play together in the same team to promote respect and
social inclusion.
Supported by Miur, on 2nd december, " D. Alighieri" School took part in this year's event: some students with special needs participated in the tournament sharing the court with other students: it was an exciting day for all because everyone played just for fun.
